A bit of a switch in gears today. I wanted to share a little inspiration with you, in case you have the February Blues! I do not take any credit for coming up with these ideas. They just struck a chord with me and I wanted to share.
Take from these seven thoughts what you need to keep you pressing forward.
Let’s get started!
#1 – Make Peace With Your Past
What has already happened is unchangeable. There may be things in our past that we need to deal with. Perhaps something has happened and you need to make amends. That’s OK. Make amends. Ask for forgiveness. Seek out those who you have hurt or have hurt you and deal with the situation.
Just don’t let the past disturb your present.
#2 – What Other People Think…
of you is none of your business. They can have their opinion. Remember, others’ opinions of you only matters if those people matter to you. Live your life so it is pleasing to you and to those who matter, and the rest of the people can have whatever opinion they want. Don’t worry about it!
#3 – Time Heals Almost Everything
Just give it time. You will be hurt. If you are living a life that matters, there will be people and circumstances that will be hurtful. That is just the way it is. Be sure that you have dealt with the situation in the most honest and forthright manner possible and then let it go. This too will pass.
#4 – The Only Person in Charge…
of your happiness is you. Do not give others the power over your happiness. Find what it is in life that makes you happy and live your life. Remember #2 – it doesn’t matter what others think. You need to be true to yourself and live the life that makes you happy. Be in love with your own life and do whatever you can to be happy!
#5 – Do Not Compare Your Life…
to others! There will always be someone with more money, or something that might seem better. A better house; a better car; a better job; more vacation time; whatever. Remember it does not matter about others. They are probably remembering #2, and not caring what you think. You need to remember to be content with what you have, but not complacent. If you want more, then work more. Your success is in your hands!
Remember, a dream written down with a date becomes a goal, a goal broken down into steps becomes a plan, and a plan backed by action becomes reality.
What do you want your reality to be? Make it happen.
#6 – Stop Thinking Too Much
No one expects you to know everything about everything. You do not need to have all the answers. Just be honest and tell people that you do not know the answer, and then research and find the answer. Watch their respect for you grow.
Spend time thinking about what is important to you and your future. That is what counts toward your own happiness. Let the rest of the chips fall where they may.
#7 – Smile!
You do not own all the problems in the world. Turn off the news. It is mostly bad news and depressing. I am not suggesting that you separate yourself from reality. What I am suggesting is that you focus on your immediate family and friends, enjoy life, have fun, and smile. You will be amazed at how this changes your perspective.
If you are happy, and have energy, you will be able to take great strides towards your goals. Then your happiness will improve and the cycle has begun.
So there you have it. A little advice to make your world a little better.
I decided to share this, because if you decide to adopt the Keto Lifestyle, there will be those in your life who will scoff and have a negative opinion. That is OK. They can have whatever opinion they want. You are not in charge of their happiness.
Imagine how you will feel when you start to see results. That is the best way to prove someone else wrong. Show them your results. Be happy. Smile.
